Which food ethic is more nourishing and beneficial to a community and even to the planet as a whole? Should we continue to indulge in the vast array of culinary choice, delighting in the foods of the world? Or should we adopt a more local approach and embrace a form of culinary xenophobia?

A dog is man’s best friend. Some friend we’ve turned out to be in return! Apparently we’ve messed things up so bad that in a last ditch attempt to shift the blame, we’ve pointed a finger right at Fido and claim we can no longer afford the environmental costs of his carbon footprint.
Are ‘eco-geeks’ who take green to the extreme actually accomplishing an eco-feat, something to be proud of and deserving of our accolades? Or are their actions simply eco-stunts, carried out by individuals only trying to get attention?
