Nissan’s Electric Car: Autobloggreen has recently visited Nissan for an in-depth preview of its 2010 Nissan Leaf electric car . While sporting an impressive design, other features include a zero-emission power train and platform, affordable pricing and real-world range autonomy – 160km (100 miles). Slated for launch in late 2010 in Japan, the United States, and Europe, this vehicle could put Nissan ahead of the pack.
First Chinese Green Lawsuit: China will officially see its first lawsuit by an environmental group against authorities within the next few weeks. A member of the All-China Environmental Federation has stated that a judge in Guizhou province has accepted its claim on behalf of residents who complain they have suffered from pollution. Residents say that the Qingzhen land resources bureau leased property to a drinks factory in 1994, but construction of the factory has not been completed and they believe the site is damaging two adjacent lakes from which they draw drinking water.
Wind Turbine Health Risks: The debate about the damaging effects of wind turbines continues. In Northern Ireland, fears of health dangers to people living near wind turbines may prevent projects from going forward. Dr. Nina Pierpoint, a leading New York pediatrician, has warned that living too close to wind turbines can cause heart disease, vertigo, panic attacks, migraines and insomnia. The groundbreaking research is due to be published later this year.
Fruit Fly Defensive: Green Living Magazine has published some great tips about earth-friendly ways to get rid of irritating fruit flies and other annoying insects. They mention a number of homemade natural remedies including using vinegar, a dish and some plastic wrap, or a wine bottle, a little vino and some dish soap.

Obama has pledged to double the production of renewable energy over the next three years and create jobs in the development of new energy technologies.
