Opt for Paperless Banking

Paperless Banking

Sometimes there are little ‘green’ messages hidden in our stack of mail that could help us be a little more eco-friendly.

For example, look closely at all those leaflets stuffed into your credit card bill. Among them you’ll find one explaining how to make itself obsolete. Not the debt, unfortunately. Just the paper it’s printed on. You’ll still have to pay the minimum amount. But at least you’ll be using a minimum amount of paper if you heed the advice to use online banking rather than mailed monthly statements.

It’s not just about the trees; there’s the ink and other resources used in printing. And in the end, there’s the waste, especially if it’s not recycled.

Contrast that with efficient, instant banking information you’ll be able to access 24/7 in the comfort of your own home. It’s a safer alternative as well, with no chances of your credit card statement being misplaced in the mail. It’s a simple, paperless solution, and the sooner you take advantage of it, the sooner your stack of mail will be a little smaller – and your environmental footprint as well.
